Raw Lands

Just a comparison:

rSogn; cSogn

I own neither, although I used to own the one on the right. I wonder which will ride better…

Never could get comfortable on M-bars for more than 30 miles or so. OTOH, the gearing on the drop bar version just doesn’t look right for hilly off-road excursions. Then again, I’m kinda wimpy!

I don’t know about wimpy. Regardless, of gearing, I’m not sure I’d be OK doing the trails on standard-diameter tubez. M-bars, also, not my cup of tea.

I thought I’d be more excited when I clicked the link to look at the new rSogn. I just didn’t do anything for me. I don’t know what it is, but I wasn’t as excited as I’d hoped.

Not hot on it either. I preferred the original, and the only tweaking I would have done would be to lessen the slope of the tt, get rid of that big headtube extension, and add some front lowrider mounts. Seems the new one is trying to do too much – be a randonneuse while taking huge Neo-Motos, which are good for big time singletrack, but not much more. We’ll see how it goes.
